Leaf on the wind

I've been bad. I had a happy dance a couple days ago and haven't shared yet.

Summer Leaf

I managed to get some stitching done on the weekend, but didn't get pictures taken.

I worked on Olive but there's not a lot to see - an update picture on that will wait.

I worked on Maple Leaf and dusted off Summer mandala which I had started the black on.

Here is where they are tonight:

To be different this time I am going to fill in the colours as I go.  I noticed when I did Winter that was working in quarters so I thought it might make sense.

A New Leaf

Welcome to 2013!

This being the first day of the new year I thought it would be good to do things I hope to do all year like visit with friends, pick up around the apartment, organize the stash collection, eat well, organize myself and of course : stitch.

This morning I started Maple Leaf.  This is progress picture as of about 8:30 - I may stitch a little more before bed:

4

Last week I mentioned I was plotting my projects for next year.

As I have for the last few years, I will be joining a group of friends for a Stitch Along on January 1.

This year we decided on something smaller, which is good cause I have a several big projects already.  And let's face it I may have an actual chance of finishing it within the year.

We chose Alessandra Adelaide's Maple Leaf:

I have my fabric and thread ready.  Basic cream fabric and Weeks Dye Works Indian Summer.  For some reason I really wanted a nice red.
