Spring has arrived!
Not that you can tell given how cold it still is out.
This past weekend was March Retreat. Too much food, many giggles and staying up way past my bedtime.
I made some progress on Tour des Marques
There were goodie bags - with needle minder, rare earth magnets, a scissor fob made by yours truly and a little plastic frog to keep the stitching ones at bay.
There were a few finishes on display this weekend

Oh What A Weekend
This past weekend Kathy hosted a wonderful weekend of fun, food and stitching. I of course didn't manage to take any pictures but check Kathy's blog for a wonderful post on our weekend.
Last week was busy.
At the start of the week I got to wear these lovely steel toe safety shoes as I worked with the collection in storage at our Warehouse. So stylin'!
Last week was the 20th anniversary of the start of college where I met Dani. It's crazy to think it's been that long.
Friday Dani and I headed off to Trenton, and Kathy's for the long weekend. I didn't get as much stitching done as I had hoped, which isn't surprising given all the talking, laughing, eating and enabling that was going on.
Here is my progress on Serenity Prayer
and for round two Owl birth sampler
Thanks Kathy for an awesome weekend!

A Day Out
Yesterday was the Knowledge and Needles annual stitching day.
Stitchers from near and far gather for food, chatting, laughter, stitching and some shopping.
I took some pictures of the wonderful stitching on display:
Thanks Ann for hosting a lovely day

Stash and Stitch
Another catch-up post....
The 5th of October Dani, Tracey and I once again piled into the car for another road trip.
This time we were off to the Cataraqui Guild of Needle Arts Needle Arts Fair, where we did a little shopping....
then headed off to Rebecca's for a lovely afternoon of visiting and stitching. Her HD was kind enough to cook us a garbage can turkey .... and I ate too much. Thanks Rebecca and Curt!
I was good and only picked up a couple things for the stash.
Ann has the new DMC colours so I picked those up as well as the Just Cross Stitch 2013 Christmas Issue.
There was also a booth of Celtic cross stitch things and I picked up two charts there.

Ann's August Open House
On August 24th Ann of Knowledge and Needles held a lovely Open House.
It was a sun-filled day of visiting, eating, shopping and stitching.
I have some pictures of the wonderful stitching that was on display. It's always so inspiring to go.
I worked on Corn Mill. Here is my progress at the end of the weekend:

Spring Stitching
This past weekend was the March Stitching Retreat that the lovely Ann arranges.
I didn't take a lot of photos, and not really any of people - but some of the lovely stitching.
It was a lovely weekend, if one over looks the cool weather and snow we had.
Thanks Ann
And Dan for the lovely lunch Saturday.

Awesome Stitchy Weekend
This weekend I was lucky enough to be able to go to the annual retreat weekend that Ann organizes.
I had a great time, and managed to almost finish one of this month's stitching goals.
Here are some pictures for you:

Let Them Eat Cake
This weekend I'm heading off to what I'm pretty sure is my last stitching get together of the year. This means finding something to bring for the pot luck.
Now, I go to these get-togethers frequently, but that doesn't seem to help in deciding what to bring.
So I thought: Let them eat cake
and made some mini-cupcakes. Hopefully the weekend doesn't end with "off with her head" ;)

Get Together Shopping
On October 13th.... Dani, Tracey and I piled into the car and headed to Kingston for the Cataraqui Needlework Guild's Annual Market Day. We had a wonderful day of shopping along with a great visit with stitching friends at Rebecca's.
Dani has put together a lovely post here: http://tkdchick.blogspot.ca/2012/11/belated-get-together-post.html
My shopping at the market was mostly this Redwood Manor chart:
Funnily enough before leaving market to go to Rebecca's I shared by purchase with Kathy who found this lovely fabric to use as finishing..... I may have to do one of these next.

Labour Day Weekend
The last long weekend of summer and the signal school is about to start again.
What better way to spend it but stitching with friends?
Dani and I headed off to Kathy's on Friday afternoon and stayed until Monday. It was a great time of laughing, food, stitching and planning next projects. Sadly I wasn't organized enough to take pictures but Dani has some on her blog.
I managed to make some progress on Forest Walk and Cirque des cercles but again no new pictures. I'll try and post progress shots this weekend.
I'm very, very busy at work this week as we move. My office moved today (11 big bins plus about twenty boxes of supplies I need to find new homes for). When I left I had unloaded all but one bin - and the desk is a mess. The collection starts moving tomorrow - we should be done sometime next week. I need a nap.
Thanks for a great weekend Kathy :)
