Monster no more

As you may remember one of my goals for this month is to finish Serenity Prayer.

This project was started in 2013 and was left in the WIP basket untouched for most of the time.  Late last year I decided I wanted it done and started to spend more stitching time on it.  Despite it's size it moved quickly when I was focused.

This weekend I headed off to my annual March Retreat with a goal: FINISH.

As Friday night started to drift away I was oh so close -- about an inch or so.  I decided to be stubborn and stay up until it was finished.  Midnight came and went and I was still working away.  Fellow retreat attendees Rebecca, Rebecca, Bonnie, Julie, Michelle and Clair all stayed up to "encourage" me.
Some of this encouragement was sitting in front of me asking how much longer :)

At 12:45 am I put in the last half stitch in the border and it was done.
