"It's the end of an era"

Warning: this post has nothing to do with stitching - feel free to skip it

This week has been crazy busy at work.  After over two years of planning and preparing we started the process of moving the library I work in.

Main doors coming into old library

The library has been in it's current location for over three decades, and as our main accommodations guy says, it's the end of an era.  It has been hard, both emotionally and physically, getting everything ready and helping take apart the library.

My office packed and ready to go - and that's only some of the boxes.  I need a bigger office
Wednesday our offices were moved to their new permanent location on another floor while the collection itself is being packed for storage while the new library space is constructed.  We expect that will be ready next year.

Packing and taking apart the shelves
Next week will be finishing packing and then setting up the new office.  Chances are the new one won't be any cleaner then the old one.  Oh well, at least somethings never change.

I'm going to need a drink soon...
