And A Good Time Was Had

Time flies when you're having fun.  It also flies when you try and pack a lot of stuff into a short amount of time.

Most of what I've been up to lately is not stitching related.  Which is totally wrong and must be stopped.  I also must learn to be better organized about all the stuff I don't like to do so it doesn't pile up so much.

Also, it would be helpful if I stopped getting sick.

Last weekend was the totally awesome March Stitching Retreat at the Timberhouse Bed and Breakfast that Ann arranges for us.  This year I took the train on Thursday and spent the night with Bonnie, her DH Blair and the cats.  It was a nice way to start the weekend.

Then it was 3 days of Stitch, Eat, Sleep.

And FROG!!!

I discovered Friday that I had to rip out all the white I had put on Earthdancer and all the hair to the right.  It was NOT pretty.  I spent the whole weekend putting it back in.

I do have a few pictures:

We had a wonderful fire to stitch by - once they got some smaller pieces of wood

We had a wonderful lunch Saturday that Dan prepared.  Followed by some stash shopping at Knowledge and Needles

Some of the wonderful stitching on display

Earthdancer at the end of the weekend.  I thought I'd spare you all the pain of seeing her with her hair ripped out.

Last night I met the gang from work for a "farewell" dinner.  One of my co-workers has accepted an offer to move to one of our Regional Libraries in another part of the country.  It's a wonderful opportunity for him but we'll miss him at our location.

I did a "little" stitching this week.

I'm waiting for a piece of fabric so I can start the wedding piece.  I hope it will be here this week. Once it does arrive then that will be my focus as the wedding is fast approaching.

Before I head off to do the thousand and one things I should do today a birthday wish to Dani:

May you have a year of friends, fun and smoking needles.  Happy Birthday :)

I'm so sorry that the frogs caused havoc for you but I think the weekend at Timberhouse more than made up for it. Definitely some gorgeous stitching there!
Hope to see you and Earth Dancer soon.
