"Do you have mittens?"

That was Dad's question Friday morning as I was heading out the door.

Thursday after work I headed off to the parents for a visit. Friday morning I got up with a goal in mind:

This road runs next to the parents house. Last spring Dani and I walked it, it took about an hour and a half and we had to take many breaks. I was hoping that I could make it the whole way without stopping and in less than an hour.

It is 1.8km (3.6 total duh) from their house to the top of the road - there are a two hills - one very steep.

So, off I went at 7 in the morning....

and arrived back at 7:40, having made it to the top of the hill and not stopping. Happy dance

Then Mom and I headed off to shop. All day. But we had fun and I got some clothes. Including a sweater in a size medium. Yup, a size I don't remember wearing in forever. Happy dance.

The rest of the weekend was pretty quiet, and I headed back this afternoon.
