Playing Catch-Up

Long time no blog.

I've been trying to catch up on things and get ready for Christmas. I'm not sure I'm doing all that well.

I've been to a play.  I know - so weird - I went to the theatre.  I'd never been to a live play before but the NAC had Pride and Prejudice on and I couldn't resist.  I had a very good time.

I also managed to injure my hand. I pulled the muscle at the base of my thumb on my left hand. There was some bruising and swelling and it didn't like to move. The good news it was my left hand and I'm right handed.  The bad news: do you know how often you use your thumb?  Yup a lot.  It's doing better - pretty much back to normal.

This week has been interesting on the weather front here in Ottawa we started Monday with freezing rain and yesterday we had a big snow storm.  According to the news as on this morning we had 44 cm (or 17 inches) of snow.  It was not very nice out.  Now the wind is high and it's cold.  I hate winter.

About noon Friday

About 4pm Friday
I've managed to get most of the things I needed to get done for Christmas done, just a few more things left to do.

I'm hoping to get some stitching done now.  And some cookies... feel like making cookies.

Winter progress

Sorry to hear about your thumb, hope it's better quickly. You can blame Leo for the snow. He wanted a white Christmas.
