Wacky Wonderful Fun

It's been a busy, fun filled weekend. I almost don't know where to start.

Friday morning Dani and I loaded into her car and headed off to the parents. My aunt was visiting overnight, her university bound daughter and friends were having a last party before heading off to school.

Friday night, two other aunts and Rebecca joined us for cake and frozen yogurt in honour of my birthday. Yum. Oh, and Rebecca got me the best post it notes - I'm still trying to decide if work is worthy of them.

Speaking of my birthday, I got this little baggie from Kathy -- love it!!

Saturday we got up and pulled everything together to head off to Ann's for our annual get together and Ann is so kind to host.

It's full of stitching, chatting and laughter. We got a bit crazy a few times, I'm sure if Ann's neighbours were closer the police would have been called...

For a group shot of us, please check out Dani's blog.

Here's an assortment of pictures, including some of the finished pieces. It's amazing what we manage to do in a year!

I got the wonderful Adriana to display some of her finished stitching. (with Beth and Beatrice)

Here's Kathy, Beatrice, Adriana and Rebecca. You can see Marie-Paul's pumpkin clocks behind them.

I couldn't resist hitting the store for a few things. This included Lizzie Kate's Book club flips, that Beatrice has been working on. I every easily allowed her to talk me into getting these. She was very nice and went and helped me pull all the charts together.

While we were pulling these together there was a sudden outbreak of laughter, crashes, bangs and the sound of running feet. Ann, Beatrice and I all looked at each other in disbelief before Dani and Kathy raced into the shop and dived at the fabric for any pieces of Victorian Christmas red that Ann had left. They snagged the last two pieces and as they were congratulating themselves Ann announced that she had more!! It was but an example of the crazy fun that we had.

Sunday morning Dan made us a most excellent breakfast - Thank you Dan!!

Monday Dani and I had to call the weekend to a close and headed back to the real world of work and the like.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend Ann!!

I managed to get some stitching done as well. It's been ages since I've done that much stitching in one sitting.

First, I finished the page I was working on for PL...

Then, I put some time on Earthdancer (which is a Butternut Road)

Then I got out Giggles, and managed to finish his face. I even did it over one. Ack... not my favorite thing to do, but I think it turned out every well.

Ah, Christin. It was indeed a great deal of fun - and having good friends to share it with made it even more special.
